I traveled to Rochester which is about a six hour ride. I was busy with meetings but did have some free time. Not having done a sales trip in a while I didn't really plan anything besides work related for the most part.
What do you generally do?

I like to try out the local cuisine and visit any local landmarks. I also always buy my wife some kind of local candy and mail her the most touristy post card I can find.
My favorite "local experience" was when I went to Wyoming and ate bison jerky and drank sasparilla while visiting the Devil's Peak.
A few years ago there was a thread on here where people posted destinations and others made suggestions for things to do.

Let's bring that back Roy. I'll start
In Rochester I would recommend you go to Niagara falls about two hours north if you have time.

I think my next trip is to Philly. I am there so often I don't really do any exploring anymore... but to someone new to the area, definitely visit Old City Philadelphia, and perhaps take a trip past the Liberty Bell.
Next trip for me after that is probably Atlantic City. My advice for anyone visiting Atlantic City is to reconsider your plans to visit Atlantic City.

I travel several times a year, the home office is in Buffalo and I do trades shows all over. I'm kind of a homebody when I travel so I always try to get an Air BNB when in Buffalo and check out the local scene, coffee shops, eateries, etc. At the trade shows it's usually planned events day and night and a very busy few days!

I'm going to Boston next week to Foxboro Stadium. Any recommendations on what to do up there besides don't wear any Yankees items?
