Goodbye twinkee my good friend
I hope we meet soon again
Hopefully in heaven
since you are gone from 7-11
Oh why oh way must you leave
For which I do sincerely grieve
You have given me happiness throught the years
And now I bid adieu through heartache and tears
Oh twinkee twinkee little star
How did you fall so far

Gangnamster reveals yet another talent!
I see people are actually selling Twinkies on e-bay.
There may be relief in sight, though. People seem to think that somebody will buy the brand and the recipes, so that Twinkies will survive even after Hostess liquidates.

You noticed spelling is not one of those talents Wolve. I'm too distraught to spellcheck.
I hope they save the twinkie! Also Big Bird! I'm reliving my youth forever

Hostess Brands Inc. is not going out of business quite yet. U.S Bankruptcy Judge Robert Drain told Hostess today that he wants the company and union leaders to enter mediation to try to come to an agreement before Hostess closes its doors all together. According to BusinessWeek, Drain said that there are “serious questions as to the logic behind the decision to strike” and talks should occur immediately. Earlier today, Fortune reported that private equity firm Sun Capital Partners wanted to buy Hostess and reopen its closed bakeries and union representation of it workers. Sun Capital had shown interest in buying Hostess earlier this year, but Hostess chose another reorganization plan that failed. Hostess announced last week that it will liquidate the entire company because not enough striking workers returned to work. Earlier this week, Hostess closed three bakeries nationwide, including its St. Louis bakery, which employed 365.

Three bakeries nationwide? There were three in Indiana alone that closed and put over 400 workers out of a job. The outlet stores have now closed because the shelves are empty. I drove by one yesterday and they were selling the store fixtures.
There is a big difference between mediation and arbitration. Mediation means squat if both parties don't want to negotiate. Arbitration is only used when both parties agree to the whatever the outcome is decided by the arbiter. The Judge in this case has only ordered mediation. The financial backers of the company have spoken. They want the assets sold off so they can get their investment back.

Someone kudoed this post from 2012.
I don't eat junkfood anymore and I don't poetry as often. Half a decade ago seems like yesterday. I believe twinkees make a comeback.
