If you’ve spent time on The Corner, you’ve probably noticed the little green checkmarks next to some threads. What does that mean? The green checkmarks indicate the threads that have “Accepted Solutions,” the best answers posted and marked by community members. These icons can help you quickly find the best content as you scan through The Corner. Also, those great answers come up first in search results, helping you find answers faster. As you can see, these little icons have a big impact!
This is really helpful for anyone looking for answers in our community, but what if you’re usually the one answering the questions? Well, Accepted Solutions are important for you, too!
Each time you post something that is marked as an Accepted Solution, that goes toward your member ranking. If you’ve had an orange screen name forever and are aching to change over to green, try posting helpful, detailed answers to questions in the “How to Use Jigsaw” board. I can’t give away the details of the ranking algorithm, but I can tell you that Accepted Solutions are weighted heavily.
We’re also sweetening the deal for Rainmakers in the month of March. Between today, March 7th, and March 29th, the Rainmaker who has the most posts in the “How to Use Jigsaw” board marked as Accepted Solutions, will win a flight to the Annual Rainmaker Event in Las Vegas.
Posting in The Corner could actually get you to Vegas! The more helpful posts you make, the more chances that something will be accepted, so start posting, and you’ll be making the community a better place along the way.
