Hi! I would like to request that a feature option is added, whereby users can select to flag a contact as duplicate, and earn points! There are FAR too many repeated/duplicated contacts in this database. I've come across probably 10 already today! Sometimes, the name is spelled with one different letter, sometimes there is a different (and often incorrect) address, or there is an alternate title, etc. So when updating a card, you have to 'purchase' it before you can change it! And there is no option to mark it as a duplicate. This is kind of frustrating. If I recall correctly, there used to be a 'flag as duplicate' feature we could select so the admins could remove that contact card. Whatever you can do, please add SOME feature so we can address this issue! (by the way, that's a lot of added space being taken up in your database!) thanks...

I agree wholeheartedly. Also, I don't understand why when the info for a contact is EXACTLY the same, the contact is still accepted. I've noticed that on numerous occassions as well.

@MinorSound59 If you most in the Member Idea Exchange (MIX) other users can vote on your idea and if you get enough interest the dev team will review and consider an addition

Good suggestion, and a function that also existed (in Jigsaw) was the ability to "merge" duplicate contacts.
There are two issues here.
1. Product ideas should be posted in the "MIX", or member Idea Exchange :
They can then be voted upon by the community, and thus potentially receive priority when enhancements resume.
2. When you do get to the "MIX" mentioned in pt 1., you will see a search window at the top right of the page, for the subject area. In this case a quick search will show that the general concept of dealing with duplicate contacts is a topic that has been suggested several times before.
You can either suggest it again - one way of keeping it current - or you can vote with a kudo for an existing entry. Perhaps both may be in order, depending on your passion for the suggestion.
