Why is the option of adding a direct dial only available for 5 points once you've spent 5 points to get contact info? Why would I spend time updating accurate information if I have to spend the 5 points to do it and then earn 5 back so I'm back where I started? Or is the 5 points given to you and the other 5 refunded?

I hope I am able to give you some helpful information.
When updating a business card or contact on the platform you can change the name and title with out purchasing. However to change the contact information you would need to purchase the contact.
This should deduct 5 points.
If you add a direct dial you get an additional 5 points so a total of 10 points should be added

@SoleElbow86, adding email addresses or direct dials are considered "major updates". A major update transfers royalty ownership, so if you update the phone or email, you will earn a point every time another user purchases the contact. Requiring a user to purchase a contact before making a major update is to prevent fraudulent transfer of royalty ownership...
