I recently tried to update a company's website who's name recently change. Even though the previous website link works, it justs redirect you to the new website address. I received an error message saying that the website belonged to another company. Why did that happen?

Yes, I understand that. However, I'm getting an error message and it's not allowing the changes to be made. I will check back in a couple of months to see if time makes a difference.

@grolarge08It may or may not be something that just requires a refresh, or a day.
However, there are occasionally background issues in the system either tied to that record specifically, or something about that record (address, etc.) that will prevent you from ever updating the record correctly.
Perhaps you should file a support incident
The system team can "force" something, when a member is unable to do so, owing to system resistance...

@grolarge08, if you got an error message like that, I think it means there is another company already using that URL domain. Try searching for the domain you are trying to add. If its a separate company listing, you should merge the two companies.
