I'm thinking of taking a bow tie to Boston for the next sound of meetings.
Your thoughts on bow ties or anything else i.e. a Spongebob Squarepants tie to meetings? Or dying your hair to something not the norm? Or a nose ring? etc

I've never been one to use attention grabbing apparel or accessories personally. I don't even wear a wedding ring and haven't worn a watch since cell phones started showing the time. Maybe it's my age, or that I'm "old school".
At a trade show, having attention grabbing models/hosts/hostesses, or some other draw into your booth works very well, though.
If you're going to scheduled meetings, then I would say that gimmicks or other attention grabbers are redundant. You already have their attention. Otherwise, they wouldn't have scheduled a meeting.

don't go gimicky unless you're selling spongebog squarepants ties.
Depending on your approach, go with either clothing that makes you stand out (power tie!) or soft colors that calm the room so you can come off as genuine

no - i dont go to sales meetings. but i do dress to eye-catching when i'm face painting. no clown suits.. but something bright, or with shiny things on it to make people look. Dress for success as they say.
