I'm not sure I understand the author's rationale on #3. If I'm in a meeting, and someone asks a question that is so granular that the tangent will be completely irrelevant to everyone else in the room, I don't feel sleighted in any way if two people prefer to discuss afterwards...

@RoyGBiV76 You used "granular" that is one I would love to have banned. LOL Another one - Holistic. Really????? I do cringe everytime I hear "irregardless" and "same difference" Huh?! Who made up those???? Reach out and touch base is getting pretty old as well.

@SillyCause0 how would you phrase it? I was in a meeting last week (internal - no customers present) and two people started discussing something in such level of detail that it made my head spin, so I asked if we could move on.

@RoyGBiV76 I would probably say " since this information doesnt apply to me, could we go to the next item of the agenda? Or since this information doesnt apply to all of us and we are on a schedule, what's the next item on the agenda?
Oh and I agree with you on the apples to apples. i think i would like to compare apples to tomatoes. LOL they both can be yellow or red...
