If it asks you to buy it again, there is a bossibility that is another contact, with the same name and co (but can have another position or email).
Check "My contacts" tab, it must be there, if you ever spent points for it, also try clicking "show deactivated contacts".

I would love to be able to help you find out what is going on with this contact and why you are being deducted points. Normally when you buy a contact with your points you pay the 5 points, if you change anything in the contact that is important like a phone number or a email you gain 5 points, however if you are not the royalty owner of this contact they may change the information back if it is invailid and that would cause for the 5 point deduction.
