If you've been around the Community Corner for a while now, you might have seen references to a special Connect program called Data Defenders. I wanted to take some time to explain this unique and rewarding program, and to answer any questions from any community members who might be interested in joining!
Who are Data Defenders?
Data Defenders are Connect data quality protectors. They monitor and police the database and look for members who are making blatant bogus actions (for example, intentionally adding bogus contacts or companies), and also make a certain number of data contributions to the site each quarter. Data Defenders act as allies to our our Data Quality staff and work together with them to make sure contact info is accurate and free from malicious activity. In return for their commitment to data quality and activity on the site, Data Defenders receive special perks & privileges, including a special account plan, and are eligible to make Connect Champion status in this particular category.
How do I become a Data Defender?
To be eligible to apply for Data Defender status, a member must meet the following criteria:
Because this is an important roles within the community, Data Defenders go through an extensive interview and training process. They must embody thorough knowledge and experience working in all the current workflows on Connect. They are monitored and consulted with to ensure accuracy and fairness.
