I am having an issue where other accounts are updating my contact shares job titles so they become the owner and get refunded points they spent to get the contact and get the royalties for my hard work. I might add that they are changing them to the wrong job titles as well. This is an ongoing issue with multiple users and, not just one incident.

@RainMasterUpdating a title does not change royalty ownership. i looked at a few examples of your owned contacts and did not find any that had changed royalty ownership (last column under "history") from you to the person doing the updating of a title alone.
However, if the other member changes the telephone number, or de-activates the contact, they can assume ownership.
Perhaps you can share an example or two where that has happened?
If it has, then you have an issue you can report to the support team.

Here is one example that happened today although I cannot see the history of this contact. I did, however, update the title back to the way it should be and I am now the owner again. https://connect.data.com/contact/view/50155072?_mid=4238&_rid=4238.1365017031.188889
Another person owned, I changed the title from Owner to VP of Operations North America I then was the owner of the contact.
Then another user changed "VP of Operations North America" to "Vice President of Operations North America" and now they have become the owner.
The history works on this contact.

@RainMaster I am sorry you are having so much trouble with your contacts, I do see where this was updated. if you type in VP insted of v.P it wouldnt have been able to be changed as the system would have known it was Vice President. Also I dont think this Minor change would change the Royalty Owner the only way to do that is changing a email or phone number. IF you continue to have one person targeting your account please reach out to support they should be able to have it investigated by a data defender to make sure that someone isnt trying to get "free points" by updtating.
remember only Major Updates change ownership so though someone will get "POINTS" for Minor Updates this should not effect your Royalty Ownership of this contact

Unfortunately, the contact was originally set as V.P. Operations North America in our database but since I mass imported my contacts the data.com changed it over. Although this is the case for this one its not the case for most of my contacts. I have got many of my contacts job titles changed to things very similar and it works every time. These people know how to scam the system believe me. Now the real problem is I have been using the same tactic just so I can get my contact back as an owner. I feel that this happens very often and its just gotten to the point where I felt I should mention it so maybe they can patch the system or I will decide not to share contacts if it will no longer benefit me and only others.

for instance, I was able to change the title to Vice President of Operations North America and now I am the owner again...
See my point. This is stupid. I could literally steal every royalty on the entire data.com
If it's happening to me this often it's happening to many others that may not be paying attention as much as I.
If you do this you may never have to pay or use points for a contact ever again. This system is flawed!

@RainMaster. changing the title does not mean that the royalty owner is changed. It does show the last user that made the update but the owner of the contact is still you. This user should not be updating titles in that way.

I lost the ower of this example and I changed the title slightly to gain it back. For real I am not lieing and if you want Ill steal the owner of all your contacts as well if you don't believe me. This might not be the intentional programming but this is a reality of what is happening.

I think they are clicking that the email is not correct. Then updating the title then saying the email is correct. Not sure exactly what they are doing, either way, they are not spending points for a contact and I am losing ownership on some of them.
