We would like to buy the package with the option to upload a supression file. Before I try harder to give you $1500.00 ( i have tried numerous times to buy the package) I would like to confirm it's worth the premium.
I can't find information on what content is used and a recommended data order.
Here's our end goal.
Pull new/fresh leads from data.com.
Eliminate companies we already have in our database (6000 contacts) by using a suppression file.
What we do not want are duplicates of companies that we already know are disqualified.
We can upload company name, address and phone number to the suppression file. Email is not critical. We are looking for new companies with address and phone number. Email not critical at this point.
Since the info appears to only filter out data that has an email match, I fear we will buy a list with companies that we already know about. Paying $1500.00 for 10 new records is hardly economical.

@gg7, you can upload your suppression file and view the results before making your purchase -- no cost. The only cost is triggered when the contacts are purchased, so there is minimal risk. That way you can be sure it meets your needs and/or tweak your list before purchasing contacts. The list will become exportable and the emails/direct dials will become visible once your purchase the contacts or export. There is no cost or limit to the number of suppression file searches you can make as a free member.
To remove redundancy, many users upload a SUPPRESSION LIST. Suppression files contain the email addresses of the contacts you want to exclude from your Data.com Connect purchases or exports. To add a suppression list go to MY ACCOUNT (in the top right). Select SETTINGS, then scroll down to the List Suppression section. I do not see the supression file section.
To be clear. You say it's part of the free offering before any payment needs to be made. Is that true for a basic, no payment, account?
@gg7, upon further digging, I learned that suppression is currently only available to those who are on the Connect Plus membership plan. Since you are on the free plan, you don't have this capability right now. However, if you purchased the contacts on Connect, the system will already know you own them, so no need to suppress. You'll never be charged for those.

The reason I would like to upload a supression file is because I do not want to buy contacts that we already know about. We have an internal contact list of 5000 contacts. It makes no sense to purchase from another company.
I am not sure that is ultimately how the supression file should work. If you could help me understand the primary question.
Q. If I have a CSV file with First Name, Company Name, Address and phone number. BUT,,,,No email! Will it be supressed?
Q.2. If the company name is " John Smith at ABC Ltd." in our record, and "John Smith at ABC Limited" (both same address. same phone number) would it be considered a match?
