I need some advice, please. I just tried to add a new contact. The system pulled them up, saying it looks the email is no longer valid. I know for fact it is still valid, so I update the record as valid. I get 5 points. Now, I also have this person's direct dial. I want to add that. I search for them in the database by email and by name, and no results - presumably because they haven't been added as searchable since being reactivated. I go back to the screen where I reactivated them. There is no symbol anywhere for direct dial. I pay 5 points to purchase the contact. Their direct dial is listed. So now, I'm at 0 points for reactivating them and have purchased data I already had and was trying to enter.
In future, how can I tell if an inactive contact that does not show up in search results has a direct dial?

If the contact already has a direct dial, there is an icon of a blue phone with an orange arrow in front of it. It is visible when contacts are in list format (ie via company listing). It is also on the contact card, however that may only be after purchase. Before purchase it is visible in search result lists. Hope this helps.

AlanSmithee, I genuinely appreciate you trying, but you have not answered my question. The contact is not showing up in search results (or company listing), so the screen that shows the blue icons for direct dials doesn't apply. I know all about the blue icon for contacts active in the database. Again, thank you for trying.
Anyone know the answer?

It will almost always show a direct dial icon in list mode. But, you should check the actual contact to see if it actually has a direct dial number. I've found that often times it might show direct dial in list mode, but the contact actually doesn't have one. If you purchase the contact you can look at the history to see if there was a direct dial. If it shows up in list mode but says otherwise on the contact card, it could be due to someone reporting that the number is not a direct dial or the contact creator added the same phone number as the company/location's main line. Hope that helps.

Thanks. I wish that answered my question but my whole point is a dead contact I'm reactivating doesn't show in list mode. So, the usual ways of telling don't apply. I genuinely appreciate you trying to help me solve this quandary!
